gift guide: the foodie

For friends who love to eat and drink, it's far too easy to fall into the habit of always buying them a delicious treat for the holidays. Why not try a little something different (and longer lasting!) this year with one of these food-related gifts:

Temporary tattoos: $5 for set of 2
Why settle for just eating your favorite food when you can wear it! Tattly's temporary tattoos are available in a variety of foods and kitchen tools.

Timber Ceramic Server: $8
Anyone who likes to cook or entertain can always use more serving trays, especially fun and unique ones like this Timber Ceramic Server. This faux bois beauty also happens to be the deal of the century- it's currently on sale for $8 with free shipping (I may have just ordered one for myself).

Citrus Mister: $15
Rescue your loved ones from the hassles of getting fresh citrus juice: the slicing, the de-seeding, the squeezing-the-juice-all-over-your-hand-instead-of-in-the-cup (or is that just me?). With this Citrus Mister, all you have to do is pop the nozzle into a lemon and you're ready to spritz salads, seafood,  or cocktails with fresh juice!

Notes from the Larder book: $40
Nigel Slater is one of my very favorite food writers. His writing style is so warm and inviting that you could ignore the recipes and just read his cookbooks like a novel (though you really should try his recipes, they're always top-notch). His latest book, Notes from the Larder, chronicles a year in his kitchen, and contains over 250 recipes.

Drinking Situation: $24
You can't very well expect someone to drink their iced single-origin shade-grown organic artisan latte with almond milk in a plastic cup, now, can you?!? This re-usable drinking situation made from a mason jar is good for the earth, and sure to make the coffee shop hipsters jealous.

Bacon deodorant: $10
Finally prove your friend who insists "everything is better with bacon" wrong with this bacon deodorant. Warning: use of product may result in packs of hungry dogs and/or people following you down the street.

Stay tuned for the last of my gift guides this weekend- plus a very special giveaway announcement on Friday! You can also check out more gift ideas on my Pinterest page.
